Сборник «Веселые рассказы» представляет читателю разнообразные грани французской юмористической традиции – от бытового и исторического анекдота до иронических сочинений знаменитых философов и фрагментов классической литературы (Вольтер, Ф. Рабле, Мольер, А. Доде и др.). Тексты построены на элементарном грамматическом материале, что адресует книгу как старшеклассникам, так и взрослым, начинающим изучение французского языка. Словарь содержит большинство слов, встречающихся в текстах, за исключением заимствований, понятных русскому читателю и без перевода (centime, litre, critique и т.п.). Для многозначных слов указаны лишь значения, встречающиеся в книге. В постраничных примечаниях дан перевод идиом и наиболее сложных грамматических конструкций. Книга предназначена для самостоятельного чтения, но может использоваться и на занятиях по французскому языку.
