Al conmemorar los 500 anos del inicio de la Reforma Protestante en Alemania, salen a relucir muchos asuntos y algunos aspectos que, en ocasiones, no han recibido la atencion que merecen. Ciertamente, la figura de Martin Lutero esta en el centro de las celebraciones y los analisis, por lo que, al replantear su legado y los alcances de su labor reformadora y cultural, los nuevos enfoques la iluminan de otra manera. De ese modo, al aplicar nuevas metodologias de estudio historico y teologico, las luces y sombras de su vida y obra llegan hasta nosotros desde percepciones que lo colocan en el contexto que vivio. Por todo ello es necesario hacer diversos cortes transversales para arribar a conclusiones provisionales sobre la trascendencia de la reformas religiosas del siglo XVI en nuestros dias. Las iglesias derivadas de aquellos conflictos religiosos y que hoy reivindican la herencia de Lutero y los demas reformadores haran muy bien en confrontarse con los pensamientos y acciones de Lutero para, asi, desentranar sus motivos y proyecciones. Mucho de lo que hizo (y dejo de hacer) ha reaparecido con frecuencia en la historia eclesiastica para recordar que la reforma de la iglesia es un proceso permanente e inacabado que le corresponde llevar a afecto a cada generacion. No basta con repetir los hermosos lemas al respecto si no se tiene una actitud abierta al cambio y a las transformaciones profundas. Esta recopilacion de textos sobre Lutero y la Reforma Protestante intenta contribuir a ese tipo de proyectos eclesiales, academicos y teologicos.

Sailors kill a 50 foot creature at sea after a lengthy battle. The creature bears strange anatomical irregularities such as a single large eye and rudimentary forelegs and six-toed feet in place of pectoral fins. After inspection by marine biologists, it is revealed to be just a juvenile. The captain who captured the creature tours the coast and profits from the corpse of the deceased creature. As the captain attempts to finish his business at Martin's Beach, a group of swimmers are attacked. The captain and others attempt to rescue the victims but it is too late. The good samaritans and the captain are hypnotized and pulled into the water by the creature's apparently vengeful mother, to the horror of an onlooking crowd.
