Broadway tambien esta cargado de historias de grandes mujeres como Fanny Brice, comediante, cantante y actriz de cine que se abrio camino en esta zona de teatros. Hizo muchas apariciones en el escenario, la radio y el cine. Trece anos despues de su muerte, fue interpretada por Barbara Streisand en el musical Funny Girl de 1964 y su adaptacion cinematografica de 1968, le brindo a Barbara Streisand un Oscar. Dorothy Parker, dramaturga, critica teatral, humorista, guionista y poeta, que se reunia en los anos 20 con los intelectuales, artistas y transgresores de la epoca, tambien forma parte de la historia de esta gran avenida.
En Union Square Emma Goldman, probablemente la anarquista mas influyente en la historia de EE. UU, promovio con su discurso los derechos de los trabajadores y puso patas arriba el papel de la mujer en la politica de Nueva York en 1893. La famosa estacion de tren de Manhattan: Grand Central Terminal sigue en pie gracias a los esfuerzos de Jackie Kennedy, que ayudo a preservarla en su afan por mantener la historia de Nueva York.

Marcel H. Van Herpen (snd 1945) on Ida-Euroopale ja Venemaale keskenduv julgeolekuekspert. Sotsioloogi haridusega uurija on olnud nii akadeemilisel kui ka administratiivsel tool alates 1969. aastast, ta on pidanud ule 200 kulalisloengu. Van Herpeni viimase aja uurimisteemad on geopoliitika, putinismi-ideoloogia, Venemaa ja laane suhted, infosoda ning Euroopa Liidu ja USA suhted. Alates 1992. aastast on ta Euro-Atlantilise mottekoja Cicero Fondi direktor.
